Our basic program is unique. There is no pre-set time limit or number of classes for completion. You may begin when your puppy is as young as 8 to 12 weeks, with proper vaccinations. However, a pup cannot be expected to learn like an adult dog. Housebreaking, leash and collar introduction and K-9 social skills are the first lessons usually taught to a young pup. Everyone progresses at their own rates of speed and the slower learners are not always the puppy! Your program ends when you and your dog are happily performing the “formal” commands (heel, sit, stay, down, come, stand and the finish) on leash with distractions, and you’ve learned to modify unwanted behavior such as barking, licking, chewing and digging.
